Grace is my favorite topic!

I love learning about God’s grace. I love singing about grace and reading about grace. Most of all, I love receiving God’s grace daily.

My simplified definition of grace is God’s kindness that we don’t deserve. This covers a lot of territory, in fact it covers everything we need and then some!

God gives grace, undeserved kindness, to everyone in a general sense (He sends His rain on the righteous and the unrighteous, Matt. 5:45).

But the fullness of God’s grace is revealed in Jesus:

From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. -John 1:16

Grace, God’s favor, is demonstrated in a thousand ways to us in Christ:
– forgiveness of our sins,
– the gift of Christ’s righteousness,
– strength to endure,
– power to do things we couldn’t do on our own,
– the fact that God takes pleasure in us and delights in us,
-the ability to enjoy God’s Holy presence without fear or shame,
…and SO much more!

You’ve probably read the verse that says My grace is sufficient for you (2 Cor. 12:9). I praise God for His sufficient grace.

But His grace isn’t just “enough” — it’s more than enough!

But He gives us more grace. -James 4:6a

Every good thing in our lives is a gift of God’s grace. Every sin is covered by God’s grace in Christ. Every moment of need is fully met in the abundance of God’s grace.

I praise God that where sin and need abound, grace abounds much more (Rom. 5:20)!

We can never exhaust the depths, the wonders, the riches of God’s grace. It is limitless and infinite – just like God.

I desire to grow daily in understanding and experiencing the magnificent grace of our awesome God. I pray the same for you. May we drink deeply from the fountain of God’s grace so that we may pour it out generously on those around us.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. -2 Corinthians 9:8

Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
